Vintage 1934 C.F.Martin 00-17 All Mahogany Guitar

All Mahogany Martin 00-17  Guitar (used, 1934)

  • Mahogany back & sides
  • Mahogany top 
  • Rosewood headstock faceplate with gold, Martin Script logo
  • Ebony nut
  • Open geared Grover tuning machines
  • Rosewood fretboard with double dot inlays at the 7th and 12th frets
  • The first batch of guitars made with T frets and a steel T bar was 57305-57329, earlier in the year. So, T frets and a steel T-shaped neck reinforcement bar would have been original for s/n 57736.
  • The rosette is a ring of 3 thin w-b-w lines
  • Tortoise pickguard
  • Rectangular Rosewood bridge with through saddle
  • The guitar has no issues and is ready for a new home where it can make great music! The tone is full-throated and woody.
  • This guitar is from our vault. Guitar Gallery acquired this Martin 00-17 guitar in 2010. Prior to this the guitar had a pro neck set and was re-fretted. It has not been on display, and played very little in the last 16 years. It has been carefully store in a temperature/humidity controlled environment.
  • We have upgraded the case to a fine brown alligator Cedar Creek case, custom made for a 00-14 fret guitar.
OPTIONS
  • Condition: Most Excellent for its vintage. it has plenty of surface imperfections, scratches and a few deeper gouges. We find no cracks.
  • Frets to body: 14
  • Scale Length: 25.9"
  • Nut width: 1 3/4"
  • Saddle string spacing: 2 5/16"
